“Shem Creek”

Watercolor, 23” x 33.75”

“Shem Creek” is one of my favorite watercolors. This area located north of Charleston Harbor is a small but deep creek that serves as host to the local shrimp boat fleet. This particular evening the setting sunlight created a perfect silhouette as the fleet waited for the season’s opening day. Sometimes everything you try just works and this was one of those times. Although the original sold to a private collector, the painting is available as a limited edition giclée print. (20 by 29.5 inches, edition of 50)
