Buddy’s Boys

Oil, 16” x 20”

The Village of Apalachicola lies along the Gulf of Mexico where the panhandle of Florida is referred to as the Forgotten Coast of Florida. This was the setting for “Buddy’s Boys” at Sipio Creek Marina in Apalachicola, FL. As a child growing up along the coast of Florida, I frequently watched the fishing boats bob along the horizon into the night as they fished. My mother and I would head to the docks on Friday mornings to buy their fresh catch of shrimp. It was a special time. The painting of Buddy’s Boys brings back that special memory of my youth. It was my inspiration.
