“Point Lobos Outcropping”
Watercolor, 10” x 14”
Point Lobos is a wild and wonderful place where I am usually inspired to paint the relentless power of the crashing surf and heavy fog. This was an overcast, but gentle day which drew my attention instead to the unique and equally stunning rocky shoreline that has been thrust up from below, and sculpted by the wind and surf for millennia. The painting was executed in layers of pure transparent watercolor.
