David Bareford, Fellow
Oil, 12” x 24”
Eight years ago I went to Chester, Nova Scotia at the invitation of a friend to see the sailing action at Chester Race Week. This regatta brings in sailors from all over for a week of racing and on shore socializing. A good time is had by all. During the course of the week I got to know who some of the players were, and that led to this painting. This is a painting of Mighty Mo, the winningest boat of the fleet. A beautifully maintained International One Design, she seemed to win most of her races.
