The American Society of Marine Artists deeply mourns the loss of founder and friend, John Stobart.

To recognize John for his generosity to the Society, and to aid his lifelong mission to support developing artists, we are asking our members to donate here to the John Stobart Foundation. All proceeds will be given to the Foundation.

Established in 1988, The Stobart Foundation is a non-profit charitable trust formed by artist John Stobart as a venue through which to inspire, support and strengthen the passion and commitment of artists who paint directly from nature.

While we celebrate John's life, we also wish his family and loved ones peace and comfort.
